My Viacom Story Campaign

My Viacom Story was a global, company-wide series where Viacom employees could share how their lives at the company had been extra special. Through a series of selfie-style videos, employees submitted stories to my team, which we then vetted determined if they met the criteria to produce into a bite-size video piece that would be shared on the @Viacom social channels, internal screens, intranets and elsewhere. 

 

Initially intended to be a UGC campaign to give the videos a grassroots feel, we ultimately decided to produce a series of low-fi videos of the employees telling their stories to us. On this project, I led the "casting" of these videos, organized the production and directed the subjects during filming. I then also created a content release strategy plan that was executed company-wide. Ultimately, these videos were shared on the @Viacom Instagram and LinkedIn accounts. We are currently exploring how this project can be adapted for the newly formed ViacomCBS company.
